It is well known that the people sitting in front of the restrooms with a tablet for a "tip" in front of them are making a huge amount of money. There were reports in the past that they always collect the money from the tablet so that there are only a few coins in. But they are not allowed to take that money by themselfes in many cases - it is then taken by other people paying that persons only a small salary. There were reports that in several shopping malls in germany they are collecting up to 1000€ per day this way (!). But (when this problem rised up 10 years ago) the person sitting there is payed only with 5,50€ / hour.... So yes, this maybe some kind of scam involved and even a lot of the german people do not know this. You do not have to pay these people. With just sitting there they try to produce some social pressure to give them a tip. In many cases they are not even the cleaners itselfs, they are just sitting there and the restrooms are cleaned by others.

The "issue" I see with homeschooling - and I'm not saying this is true for everyone - is that school is supposed to teach you a variety of topics as well as critical thinking. If parents are allowed to decide on the curriculum of their kids, depending on their religion, political views, etc. they could decide to leave out topics that will be beneficial in later life, like comparing viewpoints and coming to your own conclusions, sex ed, the merits of different political viewpoints, etc. The kids won't find out until a lot later in life there are other opinions than those of their parents, as they're also missing out on the socialization aspect that school brings. That, plus what's already been mentioned about not all parents having a teaching background, pedagogical training and knowledge in all the subjects they are supposed to teach leave me thinking critically about this 🤔

About your question "Do Germans think Germany is the best country in the world?" the answer isn´t that easy. The thing is, usually only countries ruled by a dictatorship are stating such things, like Nazi-Germany 80 years ago, North-Korea maybe, China... People living in a real democratic country usally learn to differentiate and to see the good and bad things of their country. I can´t remember any avarage person in Europe ever stating their country is the best... To put in short, like Tywin Lannister once said "A kind, that is constantly saying he is a king, is no real king"... A country constantly stating it is the best country, is not really the best. You don´t need to remind yourself, your people and the rest of the world, that you are the best, if you really are.

with Americans having always sports going on it means that you guys are constantly watching sports, like football, baseball, basketball, hockey... not that you are actually participating a lot in sports yourselves :D And truth to be told, most of US people CANNOT eat healthy in the first place because healthy food is way more expensive than just buying the bad stuff that´s highly processed. With cheerful they mean, you are like completely over the top.. loud, faking being friendly, not showing that you don´t want to socialize at the moment or whatever. Your education system isn´t just way to expensive, like, really expensive.. it is also just bad. Not just in public schools, but in the private schools as well. You are indoctrinated from an early age on to "love" your country and you are lied to by your teachers telling you, the US is like the greatest, most free country in the world and that every person on this whole planet wants to live there, while quite the oposite is true, I would rather move to any other third world country than live in the US. You people cannot travel around the world as European can because you have basically no real vacation and if you have, it is like 10 days a year, which you partly need to use, in case you get sick, because you have like no workers rights and a shitty health system... So, in conclussion, US people are considered uneducated, ignorant, arrogant, blind, unhealthy and yeah, kind of stupid. I know, that doesn´t fit every person in your country and for sure you have a lot of good people, but as your system is really crappy on basically every single level (education, health care, work, housing costs, livings costs, costs for eating) most of you guys don´t have a real chance to be different. From what I learned about your country, most of your people are more in a constant survival mode and the whole opposite of being "free". I mean, in Germany, I can lose my job, it wouldn´t change that much for me. I would still be able to pay my rent, eat healthy, send my kids to school or to university, stay in my health ensurance... We have a social safety net for every person living here, so you are only homeless, when you are really not able to request help (which is something we need to work on). Germany is by no means perfect and I am not "proud" being a German (I am half cuban anyway, so yeah :D) but I am extremely thankful being one of the lucky ones by just being born in this country and there need to happen a big load of bad things to get me moving out of Germany... I would most probably move to a Scandinavian country, if leaving Germany at all :D

I literally don't know anyone who enjoys this, so I really wanna know if Bernd is more of an internet phenomenem or if really the mayority of germans are so crazy about him...'though I agree, that Bernd das Brot comes across as very german, I don't believe that most germans are as fond of him as the comments under this video suggest...

Regarding cooking dinner with a child and not having them watch TV: definitely kitchen chores are a challenge when you have a child but funny enough the TV never even crossed my mind as a solution. My child also never asks to watch TV. If it's turned on, it's interesting but as long as it's off, she does not care. She wants to play. If I or my hubbie cook dinner, she just brings her toys to the kitchen and plays there (away from the stove ofc). Sometimes she wants to pretend to be cooking, so she gets a little bowl and spoon and can play with that. It's challenging but it works. 😅

I never liked „Bernd das Brot“. Why do cars have eyes or a bread needs to speak? -It always weirded me out.

The moral is, if you do bad stuff you will get punished. In the USA you learn that later too(in prison or by the death sentence). But then it is too late.
